Anna is Co-Founder & Director of TransVision Arts (TVA) a compelling, original
theatre company which uses the techniques of Augusto Boal to address social issues.
Projects have included 'Binge Drinking Forum Theatre Project, Dunedin, NZ, ‘Deconstructing Dolly’: Forum Theatre Project with youth (LenZone! Stawell & the Government’s Go for your life Positive Body Image Strategy), and Right On the Money: Making a Drama out of a Financial Crisis (TVA, Ontrack Learning & Wimmera Uniting Care) 2008, which toured rural Western Victoria.
Anna holds a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education in Drama and English with Distinction, won The School of Teacher Education Graduate Diploma Courses Prize and was also awarded The Lionel Allen Award for Most Meritorious Student School of Teacher Education, at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
In her practice, Anna has continually found meaningful links between performance, critical pedagogies and the psycho-social wellbeing of a community. Her community theatre work includes music theatre with The Aids Ladies in Zimbabwe, Forum theatre about bullying with students in New Zealand, choreographing hip–hop dance with Indigenous youth in Australia, animatuering a performance with adults with disabilities for the Awakenings Festival, and writing short plays about identity and sexuality for youth in Australia. Anna is in her fourth year working for the Royal Children’s Hospital in the Festival of Healthy Living. This year she is Event Artistic Director in Alexandra, Victoria, working with fifteen artists and seven schools.
